KWEPA Seals Table Water Factories.

The Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency has sealed two substandard water packaging factories in Offa metropolis for lack of required production facilities.

The General Manager, Alh Saad Ayuba DanMusa has been working tirelessly to ensure that the substandard Water packaging factories disappear in kwara state owing to the fact that they constitute to the hardship of the citizens who consume the sachet water produced by them.


The two water packaging factories, Tobik  Pure Water and Bright Pure Water were caught operating without obtaining the necessary environmental health permit.

The factories also lacked proper documentation, hence  they were consequently sealed in accordance to the KWEPA Law Section 51.

Furthermore, the Head of   Water Inspection department, Mrs Isiaka Oluwakemi said that the factories had previously been served abatement notices but they failed to comply, therefore taking the government for granted.

She intimated that producing water for consumption in such an environment poses hazard and is  endangering to the lives of the innocent people who buy from them.

Isiaka reiterated that the government would not give up on fishing out those operating in deficient conditions.
