KWEPA Discovers Expired Drinks in Circulation at Oja-tuntun.

The Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), has  discovered some expired carbonated drinks in circulation at Oja-tuntun during the Pre-Christmas environmental and encroachment visit the agency paid to the market on Wednesday.

The carbonated drinks were first seen displayed by the roadside before a further search was conducted and more were uncovered in some drinks selling stores.

The General Manager of the agency, Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa, during the inspection disclosed that this drinks pose a great health hazard to the members of the society and is capable of killing the innocent consumers.

He,therefore, advised that consumers check the expiry dates any  the bottle of drinks they buy before consuming it.lll

Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa further warned the market women to desist from acts that pose hazard to the environment which in turns endangers the health of the citizens.

Dan-Musa encouraged the marketers to clean the drainage system in front of their shops regularly as well as ensure that the  entire environment is kept clean as this will curb the spread of diseases.

He enlightened the marketers on how to properly package and manage their waste and promised them that a waste contractor would be assigned to them for proper disposal.

He intimated that the Agency is moving the fight to Oja-tuntun come January 2022 and that no frustrations whatsoever would make the Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazak led administration give up on  the fight on keeping Kwara clean and clear.
