*LANWA CITIZENS CANT FORGET WHO STOOD BY US EASILY!*

The only unique and lucky town  would soon witness another infrastructure development aim at growing the economy of the town and its environs.

In the old days, many people from different parts of the country troop into Lanwa on market days to buy and sell their farm produce like what is at Òlókò in the present market days.

With the assistant of Alhaji Yusuf Orilowo on water and road projects, the socio economy of Lanwa was boosted especially with his intention to industrialize the town which would have become "a small London" like Abiriba town in the Eastern part of Nigeria.

In those years, people sneaked into Lanwa to catch a glimpse of the community efforts on infrastructure and socio economic projects taking place in Lanwa, I can't forget easily, every houses were connected with water pump from central pool (Borehole) constructed by Alh Yusuf Amuda Orilowo. How many houses in the city even got local Well (Kanga) then?

Since 1982, no successive government was able to come to our aid to maintain the structure on ground not until when they all got to a dilapidated stage, all efforts to speak to the government proved abortive and with His mercy, Lanwa/Eleja road was considered through the former Commissioner of Works, Engr. Yunus Afolabi who fast tracked the project.

The names of the Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari and the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq would forever be in the record and memory of Lanwa citizens for raising our hope in making the town a befitting and conducive place for leaving.

The school and the hospital has been remodeled to international standard and as part of the efforts towards improving the wellbeing of the people of Lanwa, the government of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq would embark on the Construction of 1.05km township road project.

This piece would not end without appreciating everyone who has contributed to the development of Lanwa and also wish to seek for the construction of Oke-Oyi/Lanwa road project to crown all the efforts.

May God make it easy for our helpers with long life and prosperous years ahead. Amin.

KWEPA inaugurates Offa Weekly Market Sanitation The General Manager of the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), Alhaji Saad Ayuba Dan-Musa has inaugurated the Weekly Market Sanitation at Owode Market in Offa, Offa Local Government Area.   Speaking at the occasion, Alhaji Dan Musa urged  the people of Owode Market to always ensure the market is clean and tidy in order to prevent diseases and other ailments that may arise from dirty environments.
