Beware of  Unregistered Fumigators Using Hazardous Chemicals, KWEPA Warns School Owners
The Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), has called on the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools at Zonal level to beware of fake Fumigators who go around making use of hazardous chemical for fumigation.

The General Manager of the Agency, Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa, enlightened that this deadly chemicals used by the fake fumigators poses a lot of dangers to the health of all the occupants of the school.

Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa, further disclosed that, a lot of abnormalities are being reported to be going on regarding fumigation at the Local government level, as some unauthentic fumigation certificates have been retrieved from some schools across the local government areas.

Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa, disclosed that proprietors need to verify the authenticity of the fumigators they want to engage by asking pertinent questions, and ensure they engage the services of only government registered fumigators who are well trained and make use of the right chemicals.

Dan-Musa exclaimed that something must be done urgently to stop this unscrupulous fellows to prevent what happened in Ondo state from repeating itself in Kwara.

He called on Local government Chairmen to call their staff who have no permit to order, and that Local government officials who wish to be Fumigators should register and take the right channel and stop going through the back door.
