It is no news that the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA) has been working effortlessly to sanitize Ipata Market and make it free of road encroachment.
The Ipata market has in times past witnessed death of innocent souls which resulted from road encroachment.
There is no one who would pass through the Ipata market that would not give credit to Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency for their excellent discharge of duty in sanitizing the market, the first of it's kind in the history of Ilorin.
However, its so saddening that the woman appointed to oversee the activities of the market and marketers joined hands with disrupters to destroy the galvanized barricade polls mounted at Ipata Market to curb encroachment.
She and other marketers, further mobbed the Environmental officers supervising the barricade installation, restricting them from performing their civic responsibility; an act considered as an embarrassment to the government.
Mrs Bilikis, the Iyaloja of Ipata Market should be called to order or removed from the position as market leader due to her involvement in activities considered as a sabotage to government's effort in curbing environmental nuisance and protecting the lives of her citizens.
