KWSG Warns Fumigators to Desist from Substandard Fumigation or Risk Sanctioning

The Kwara State Government, through the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), has frowned at registered fumigators who carry out substandard fumigation on regulated premises within the state, an act described as bad and capable of endangering the lives of the residents of the state as different diseases are now rampant.

The General Manager of KWEPA,  Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa, in a meeting with the executives of the Association of Kwara State Registered Fumigators, disclosed that some fumigators in trying to gain customers beat down their charge and in turn fail to carryout complete  fumigation when doing their job.

The Secretary of the Agency, Mrs Idayat Folorunsho said that some business owners through the fumigators just pay to collect certificate of fumigation without carrying out any fumigation, a development she called a "criminal act".

She disclosed that any fumigator caught perpetrating such an act will be sanctioned according to the law.

The Head of Department, Fumigation, Mr Rufus Adebayo  advised the fumigators to get a comprehensive data of their customers, the date of their last fumigation and submit so???????????????  that those whose fumigation has expired will be notified and an enforcement made to ensure that they re-fumigate.

Adebayo said  that Malls and Halls need to carryout fumigation as these two places are prominent places where crowd often gather.
