NAPPS commends KWSG on environmental sanity

The Kwara State Government has been commended by the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), for its effort towards ensuring all schools in the State enjoy safe and hygienic environment.

The NAPPS President, Mr. Ajibola Temitope, gave the commendation during a courtesy visit paid recently to the office of the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency in Ilorin.

Mr. Ajibola appreciated the Agency, saying that the recent storming exercise by the Agency has created good insight and a change of attitude on environmental sanity in various schools in the State.

The NAPPS President, who assured KWEPA boss full support on its mission, urged the Agency to intensify effort so that more schools will be captured and made to comply, disclosing that NAPPS' impact towards its people compliance be equally consolidated in good term.

Speaking earlier, the General Manager, Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency who commended the spirit of solidarity and level of compliance received from NAPPS, explained that the fumigation exercise among other items must be fulfilled, as these would not only aid health safety in our schools but will also protect all the school furniture against termite infestation.

Also speaking, the HOD Fumigation, Mr. Rufus Adebayo, explained that fumigation, health safety permit, environmental impact assessment among other items are vital and must be duly obtained to prevent environmental havoc within the school premises.

In her remark, the Secretary of the Agency, Alhaja Idayat Folorunsho, appreciated Mr. Ajibola's visit to the Agency, reinstating the Agency's absolute readiness to extend arm of cooperation with the organization, (NAPPS).
