The kwara State Government through the office of Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency, has again reaffirmed its commitment towards ensuring that the State and her citizens enjoy hazard free environment.

The General Manager of the Agency, Alh. Sa'ad Dan-Musa, made this known today during inspection exercise to some of the Private Schools along Egbejila, Asa-Dam Area, Ilorin.

In his statement, "management of waste is one of the responsibilities KWEPA has been saddle with, and adequate provisions have been made and concluded between the Agency and NAPPS, stressing that quite ample numbers of trained and accredited waste collectors have been engaged and placed on zonal routine of operation. Declared the General Manager. 

Some of the school covered during this inspection exercise include Gold Academy, Golden Bells School, Babalola Academy: College of Health Technology, and a host of others. 

 After the inspection exercise at Babalola College of Health Technology, the team  leader Mrs. Maryam Mumuni, HOD School Inspection Department of the Agency, lauded the Management of the College for being proactive enough in making the place comparatively hygienic and conducive for learning while urging that all other areas of lapses be fixed accordingly. 


Meanwhile, stern warning has been sounded on the Management of all the schools visited that, self management of waste and open burning practices be shunned as its side effect is highly detrimental, capable of causing health hazard and depletion of ozone layer.
