ILORIN, THE BLESSED CITY THAT SAVES NIGERIA.

Our forefathers has done it in the past, am not talking about the idol, masquerades and Igunnu worshipers, but Allah's who seek for His favour on us (the present generation) day and night with khalua and fasting.
Some of us never knew the importance of their prayers on our town, our leaders and the incoming generation until we grew up to know their importance on us and the signs.
My father used to tell us when I was young that Ilorin can never be engulfed with calamities that would overcome the citizens, but peaceful atmosphere that would attract so many people to get enticed and relocated to the blessed city of Allah.
I asked him a question ignorantly and scientifically that day "how could that be achieved?, but in his reply, he made me realized that some Al-Hullamau were assigned to travel to four and far edges of the city to offer special prayers for the past, present and future generations for peaceful co-existence in Ilorin Emirate. The clause is that we must also continue to pray for our Leaders, present and future generations.
We have all witnessed the signs; which of His favour.....indeed! You want to tell me that you have never witnessed the influx of people searching for peaceful places to migrate to? But finally find a place not elsewhere, but Ilorin.
Don't tell me you have not gone to suburb of ILORIN to see how the places have expanded beyond your imagination; houses, industries, name it are growing without limit.
Of course, it's another sign that Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe who never thought twice to locate Psychetric Hospital to Ballah and Senator Bukola Saraki that established KWARA state University in the remote area of Ilorin Emirate while the grand planner, Gov Abdul Rahman AbdulRasaq who is also making the Master Plan of the city a reality; many surprises are coming behind, inshallau, one day, we shall rule the world.
Another sign you never envisaged is the Unity (Oneness) we have clamoured for; we are now indivisible elements, if you don't know, kindly take a look at so many cultural associations like Third Estate Group, Ilorin Anchor Men & Women Initiatives, Ilorin Likeminds Foundations, Emirate Stakeholders, TYM and others, while the IEDPU remain the Father and the Umbrella of all, kudos to Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman, the President of IEDPU for all his efforts to unite everyone.
To my surprise and because of Allah's favours on us, all members in these group of societies formed an intersection naturally on membership drive; intersection means; a point at which two or more things intersect also means some members in some groups, both old and young are found in one or more social cultural groups as members and as one entity while they rejoice together in many occasions.
No body attends the Annual Durbar Festival that would not be happy and homely; if you don't know, this is another great signs from the prayers of our forefathers who prayed for us to live happily and joyfully.
This piece is a reminder to us not to forget our tradition and inheritance (prayers) for our leaders, present and future generations.
