Promoting environmental cleanliness, KWEPA receives commendation from NGO.

The Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency in its committed stride in promoting environmental cleanliness across the nooks and crannies of the State has been commended recently by a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), U & I.

The General Manager of the agency, Alh. Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa, received the commendation while hosting a Team member of a Non Governmental Organization, at its office, Ilorin.

Addressing the Team, Alh Sa'ad Ayuba, reverberated on environmental cleanliness as one of the significant habits which must be embraced by all in order that the state would be made  safe and habitable for all.

Speaking further, Alh. Sa'ad who stressed that despite Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq's decipated attention and huge investment towards ensuring that the state remain clean and habitable for its citizenry, maintained that ineptitude attitude and non compliance to environmental directives by some members of the state has been making it an heculen task.

Ayuba, also explained that agency in many ways had devised quite numbers of preventive models in combatting environmental inpunity in the state, insisting, however, that it's office would not seat it's guard in making sure that it's mandate in protecting citizens against any environmental havocs, is adequately delivered.


Meanwhile, Ayuba appreciated the Team for their humanitarian services and insightful proposition while assuring them the agency's readiness to partner with them should it embarked on any enforcement sooner.

In his address, the Chairman of the group, Elder Fabiyi Emmanuel O, who expressed his delight at the warmth reception availed them, commended the office for its overall effort put forward in addressing environmental related issues, especially on waste management, while explaining that the visit was to familiarize and showcase it's core programmes to the agency.

Meanwhile, Elder Fabiyi, has used the medium seeking the indulgence of the general manager to avail the group the good opportunity to equally contribute its quota through formidable working partnership with the agency, especially on on-the-field enforcement exercise within the state capital city.

In his words, "as a Non Governmental Organization, we are here today to extend our humanitarian services to the vast majority of the citizen especially in providing succor to some of the environmental menace embatling some parts of the state.

"We are glad for your warmth reception and that we meet a liken minded person who has also been dedicated in servicing the state in all capacity, this by no doubt gives us the real confidence that our request if granted would be a partnership in progress to the betterment of the common masses and the state as a whole.
