Lithium's market value is forecast to increase to nearly 19 billion U.S. dollars by 2030, due to its increasingly significant importance and by the end of 2023, the global market value of lithium is expected to amount to 8.2 billion U.S. dollars.

Due to its increasingly significant importance for a variety of applications and as well for the production of rechargeable batteries for mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras and  electric vehicles and so on has in the recent time attracted thousands of local and foreign illegal miners to Lade in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.

This piece is coming as a strong request for the state government to put necessary measures in place to legalize the mining activities of Lithium in *Lade Village* or establish an industry to produce exportation products through the precious stones which will ultimately increase the state IGR and stand to be among the richest Nigeria states in billions of dollars on monthly basis.

In another vein, if action is not taken on time, the formation of banditry might surface as it happened in some parts of Zamfara and Borno states which resulted to  loss of lives and properties that escalated to other states.

Lade village is another settlement where illegal foreign Miners imported and provided ammunition for their safety and no government security are allowed in the vicinity, definitely, unrest is envisaged in the nearest future.
