Lanwa township road abandoned by the Contractors!

The people of Lanwa are ever grateful and appreciable to His Excellency, Mall. AbdulRahman Abdulrasaq for the award of so many Community township roads in the state to alleviate the suffering of the rural dwellers

In the recent time, it was observed that the Contractors handling Lanwa township roads has abandoned the construction of the road compared to Olooru, the ancestral home of former Commissioner of Works, Hon. Rotimi Iliasu whose township road that was awarded the same time and in the same local government was completed within the time frame.

During the site inspection, Ilorin *Monitoring Group (IMG)* discovered that aside the blockage of some adjoining linkage to the streets that caused erosion, it has also caused an environmental nuisance to the entire community which can lead to Asthma contact. 

It is the believe of the Community that the state government must have released the total sum bidded for the contract, but surprised that the contractor suddenly abandoned the road construction without moral justification.

"Olooru township road that was awarded the same time with Lanwa road was completed within the time frame, why is it that Lanwa road was abandoned for so long? The governor should please come to our aid" a community leader lamented.

KWEPA inaugurates Offa Weekly Market Sanitation The General Manager of the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), Alhaji Saad Ayuba Dan-Musa has inaugurated the Weekly Market Sanitation at Owode Market in Offa, Offa Local Government Area.   Speaking at the occasion, Alhaji Dan Musa urged  the people of Owode Market to always ensure the market is clean and tidy in order to prevent diseases and other ailments that may arise from dirty environments.
