Dan-Musa hails Gov AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq on the passage of Amendment bill 2023 for KWEPA.

There is no doubt, the second term of Gov AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq will witness tremendous development in relation to clean environment which can't materialize without amending the Law to suite the purpose of current population to override the old laws of many decades.

Alh Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa, the former General Manager, Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA) noted that registered and Regulated Premises capitalizing on the weaknesses of the old Environmental Laws to drag the Agency to Court unnecessarily despite the fact they are guilty of Environmental Sanitation violation will be a thing of the past.

The Amendment Law 2023 means that individuals and regulated premises will have to be convicted or tried to pay heavy fines in accordance with the amendment Law or six months imprisonment for individuals while corporate bodies will pay double as sanction for violation of Environmental Sanitation offences, definitely, the state's  Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) would rise up to develop the state.

Dan-Musa commended the Executive Gov of Kwara State Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq and Kwara state House of Assembly for the proactive measures in the passage of Executive bills to amend  Environmental Laws of Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA) 

He urged the public to stop indiscriminate dumping of refuse along the walkways and surroundings to avoid been sanctioned in accordance with the new amendment Law (2023) that will not be influenced by whoever is known.
