*KWEPA embarks on familiarization visit to ITC*

The General Manager of the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), Alhaji Saad Ayuba Dan-Musa, led his team to the International Tobacco Company (ITC), Ilorin on a familiarization visit today.
According to him, the meeting was organized in order to make the mission and vision of the Agency known to the company and further work on ways to collaborate successfully for the good of the good people of Kwara State.
In his response, the Head of Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) of the ITC, Mr. Olushola Emmanuel Amore, appreciated the team and assured them of utmost cooperation with the laid down environmental laws while also noting that the company does not joke with the issue of environment.
In another development, the KWEPA team went on an inspection visit to the College of Education, Ilorin to check their level of compliance with the laid down environmental laws.
Receiving the team, the acting provost of the College, Dr. Jimoh Ayinla, expressed his appreciation to the Agency for an avenue for checks and balances in how the College handles environment issues and assured the agency of their maximum cooperation.
The team inspected the restaurants, hostels, toilets, lecture rooms, water supply , while also making recommendations that will make the school safer and more conducivefor the students and lecturers.
