*In-house Training: KWEPA Collaborates with Environmental Consultants* 

The Management of the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), in collaboration with Environmental Consultants, organized a two-day in-house training on Environmental Management at the Conference room of the Agency recently.
The training,  which aimed at developing and enhancing the capacity of Environmental Health Officers and Scientific Officers in discharging their duties effectively, ended with the issuance of certificates to the trainees on Monday.

While welcoming the participants and staff to the occasion, the General Manager of the Agency, Alhaji Saad Ayuba Dan-Musa, congratulated the newly-trained staff and added that the in-house training will further help the officers in ensuring a cleaner and greener Kwara. 
"We can emulate other states that have achieved better results. Our major aim is to make sure that our environment is clean and healthy. We need to make sure that our staff are well-equipped with the knowledge of how to handle environmental issues in the State. This is just a little contribution that we have made in our efforts in ensuring a cleaner and greener Kwara", he said. 

Earlier In his remarks, the Chairman of the Governing Board of KWEPA, Hon. Paul Zhiri Tsowa, appreciated the efforts of the General Manager in updating the knowledge of the Agency staff, while adding that the training was coming up at a critical time in the history of the State. 

The Chairman noted that lack of knowledge translates to partial death, after which he encouraged the new trainees to pass the newly- acquired knowledge across while urging them to discharge their duties effectively and make the Agency proud always. 
 
Speaking of behalf of the beneficiaries, the Head of Department of Ecology and Occupational Health, Mr. Tolulope Samuel, expressed his delight at the training and said it was enlightening and eye-opening. He appreciated the Management and promised that they will make good use of the training in achieving the aims of the Agency. 
Some of the successful trainees were selected from various departments like Debt Management Department, Water Department, Ecology Department,  Gas Department , Food Unit among others. 

In his part, the CEO of Rockmines Geo-Environmental Services, Mr. Ipinmoroti Peter, commended the General Manager for the good thought of organizing the in-house training while also recommending regular trainings and re-training of staff. He referred to the Agency as one of the goldmines of the Government that, if well-tapped, will serve as a huge source of revenue generation to the Government. 

He called for a proper  rebranding and repackaging of the Agency while wishing the newly-trained staff a successful career.

Other resouce persons present were Mr. Alfred Ajao, the C.E.O of AB Factor Global Concepts Limited and Mr. Fasakin Abayomi, the CEO of E- Solutions Limited..
