KWEPA Seeks For Physical Planning Authority Support in Fighting Open Defecation In continuance of the fight against Open Defecation and Road Encroachment, the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA) has stretched an arm of synergy towards the Physical Planning Authority. The General Manager, Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency, Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa in a visit to the Authority in Ilorin reiterated the importance of ensuring that there are toilet facilities provision in buildings brought to them for approval. Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa explained that the staff of the Agency are experiencing some difficulties in the discharge of their duties on Environmental Impact Assessment as they are been questioned and stopped from performing their duties with the claim that the Physical Planning Authority has already given them approval. KWEPA EXTENDS ITS INSPECTION TO COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, ORO The Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency in its undaunted zeal towards fulfilling the directive of his Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq in ensuring that Kwara State becomes a save and habitable place for all, has today extended  its inspection exercise to Kwara State College of Education, Oro. Kwara State Government Reiterates Commitment to Citizens Health Kwara State Government, through its Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA) has called on the Association of Table Water Producers(ATWAP), Kwara State chapter to make the health safety of consumers a top priority. KWEPA Canvasses Synergy With KW-GIS to Curb Open Defecation The Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency, (KWEPA), has approached the Kwara Geographical Information Service(KW-GIS) for support in curbing the fast rising and worrisome menace of open defecation which has the capacity of endangering the lives of citizens of the state. The General Manager of the agency, Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa and his team paid the Chairman KW-GIS a courtesy call at his office to state the issue which he refered to as requiring 8urgent attention. Dumping of Construction Sand on Government Road is a Prosecutable offence- KWEPA GM The General Manager, Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa has issued a stern warning to those fond of dumping heaps of construction sand on government roads as part of the fight against road encroachment intensifies. Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa explained, that the heaps of sand dumped on the road eventually flow into the drainage systems to block the free flow of water which eventually lead to flooding.  Dan-Musa who embarked on a monitoring tour around the Fate axis of Ilorin,the state capital,  discovered that majority of shop owners had heaps  of sand dumped on the government road, and  instructed those concerned to evacuate the sands from the road within 24hours as the state government will not tolerate any form of sabotage to it's effort in ensuring environmental compliance. Environment Commissioner Commends KWEPA GM, Management Staff for Commitment to Environmental Protection ... urges them to do more The Kwara State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh has commended the General Manager, Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency, Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa and the management staff of the agency for their doggedness and commitment to ensuring and enforcing compliance to environmental laws against all odds. Buraimoh, submitted that more could still be achieved if the cord of unity is maintained and not left divided. The Commissioner made this commendation during a familiarisation visit to the agency. The General Manager of the Agency, Alhaji Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa during his opening remark walked the Honourable Commissioner through the statutory functions of the agency and commended the management staff for the unwavering support given him since he was handed the mantle of leadership of the agency.
